kornsk8er41: have you ever read, or do you know anything about, The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck?

kornsk8er41: my dad is telling me he wants me to read it

patchcr: sorry, i will take a total of 1 english class in college and i'm almost done with it

patchcr: why?

kornsk8er41: no idea

kornsk8er41: said he'd talk to me about it tomorrow

patchcr: he just randomly said that?

kornsk8er41: not completely random

patchcr: so what was the reason why he said it?

patchcr: it sounds like a religiously righteous book

kornsk8er41: oh it does talk about religion in it some

patchcr: but i'd actually have to look it, which i haven't done

patchcr: did you read it?

kornsk8er41: i read the chapter names

patchcr: oh, ok

patchcr: lol

kornsk8er41: and read a review on it

patchcr: did he give you a copy?

kornsk8er41: yeah

patchcr: lol

patchcr: you do know the full title is "The ROAD LESS TRAVELED : A New Psychology of Love, Traditional Values and Spiritual Growth"

kornsk8er41: yeah

patchcr: spiritual growth + traditional values = protestant goal

patchcr: the new psychology of love sounds like buddhism

patchcr: so who knows

kornsk8er41: i may get a good laugh out of this book

patchcr: but its definatly centered around religion

kornsk8er41: i haven't mentioned my views on religion to people here

patchcr: well, obviously, i'm sure he would have given it to you much sooner if he knew your religious views

patchcr: he's just probably thinking you'd like it, or that all teenagers need spiritual encouragement. idk

kornsk8er41: he thinks i need some kind of encouragement

kornsk8er41: because he's "worried" because i don't go out every weekend and do stuff with people

patchcr: well, i think i'd be worried as well, but from my perspective i understand why.

patchcr: heck i live in miami and i'm not going out this weekend

kornsk8er41: what i don't understand is he kept telling me he didn't go out much when he was in high school, and his mom got mad at him because he'd never talk to her about why, yet the whole time he's telling me this, he's sitting there bugging me about why i don't and why i dislike people here

patchcr: i don't know what to say
