The sorrows and joys of life

Today I was fortunate enough to witness President Bill Clinton speak to endorse Kerry as president. I didn't get to shake his hand but I was on TV during his speech and got about 3 m away from him during his walk around the crowd. OOOO how exciting.

I took my friend Sean to the rally... what a stressful time. The group of those from UM attending were mostly from SpectrUM or OUTspoken and my friend Sean does not, at least to my knowledge, know that I'm bi. I haven't gotten the gumption to tell him yet. So I took the gamble that I would be outed on the trip somehow, but hey, that's life. It was worth being on TV and sharing that experience with a close friend, even if he doesn't know everything about me. His friendship is what matters to me.

Also, I am now hired by the League of Pissed Off Voters to be doing canvasing of the dorms and to pass out voter slates (little sheets that help tell progressive Miami-Dade voters who to vote for and why). I'm excited about this job but worried that it will take up too much of my time. For more information on the League visit www.indyvoter.org

OO also, tomorrow I will be fasting. I have no idea how that will work but I hope it does. I have to get up before 6:00 to eat breakfast before 6:15am and I can't eat or drink again until 6:45pm. But I think it is worth doing to show respect to the Muslims observing Ramadan and to try and purify my actions as well as help locals recieve meals.

Okay, now to go to bed... it's getting way too late.

Ok, to start this blog I make my first post about nothing. I really don't know how well i'll be able to keep this up. I guess i'm just gonna have to experiment with how a blog best serves me. It might be about interesting things that I encounter each day, or week, or month. Or it could be about my personal life or even about politics. Who knows. I don't expect many people to read this post or subsequent ones but I'll put it in my AIM profile anyway.
